Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:

The primary role of the Pressure Management Consultant is to acquire new accounts in the upstream pressure pumping market. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with Oseco. They must develop a rapport with new clients, understand their business goals and provide solutions that support their business needs. Pressure Management Consultants work with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff. He/she may manage the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description, since it is the PMC’s job to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors. While the exact responsibilities will vary from company to company, the main duties of the PMC can be summarized as follows:

  • Prospect for potential new clients to increase business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your target market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. * Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within their organization.
  • Research and build relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Understand the prospects high level business goals and how we impact them.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. * Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Drive the proposal process concentrating on the business solution and service to support.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for driving product specification at the Engineering/Operations Executive level.
  • Acquisition of new accounts and revenue development
  • Responsible for daily cold calling appointment-setting with key decision makers.
  • Promote Oseco’s corporate image in all business interactions with prospective customers.
  • Develop new business leads through networking.
  • Design effective proposals and quotations, and respond in a timely manner to Requests for Proposals. 
  • Deliver presentations covering safety, total cost ownership, process enhancements, and reductions in nonproductive time.
  • Work closely with team members targeting Key Account Owners, and develop implementation strategies cascading across the entire market
  • Conduct product demonstrations allowing customers to experience product benefits.
