Technical Sales Manager

Responsible for providing Managerial leadership of the Technical Sales Team. To monitor and manage the timely and accurate order entry information to appropriate Oseco departments to ensure customer satisfaction with regard to required product and delivery specifications.  To manage the equal distribution of order entry workload. The Manager will also carry the tasks of a Technical Sales team member on the prescribed segment / key accounts as required.
 
Experience Required:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 or more years’ experiencein office environment or related technical training (or a combination of education, experience and training) or a High School Diploma or Equivalency Certification and a minimum 7 years’ experience in office environment or related technical training (or a combination of education, experience and training).
  • At least 4 or more years team leadership experience with 5 or more employees
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as:
    • Oseco pricing book and product catalog
    • Customer quotation requests
    • Rules and regulations
    • Operating and Maintenance Instructions
    • Procedure Manuals (including technical specifications)
  • Ability to conduct effective verbal communication with all levels within the organization (including management level executives)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format (including e-mails, letters, routine reports, etc.) for both internal and external recipients.
  • Better than average skills with Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate selling techniques.
  • Ability to demonstrate coaching and developing techniques
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive and professional rapport with co-workers, customers, representatives, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to calculate percentages, discounts, interest, proportions.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or drawing format
 
Experience Desired:
 
  • Experience in and knowledge of technical processes and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish – including technical verbiage.
Essential Duties:
 
  • The Technical Sales Manager will manage the following:
    • Accurate and timely input of orders into the ERP system
    • Provide coaching and guidance on under-performing team members
    • Coordinate and develop new process with the Business Systems Manager and Quality Manager to improve team efficiencies and accuracy. ie) FPY (First Pass Yield)
    • Customer satisfaction surveys and increase the customer satisfaction index
    • Daily review of current team workload in order to avoid bottlenecks that lead to customer dissatisfaction / failure to meet order entry targets
  • Source, select and retain an expanding and evolving multi-segment Technical Sales Team that is phone based, currently 7 headcount
  • Implement CRM standards and best practices
  • Measure, diagnose, define best practice and ensure implementation and sustainability of those best practice by using business based Key Performance Indicators
  • Works directly across the organization, driving change that meets the needs of the customer
  • Work with and define win win strategies with independent representative agencies
  • Provide technical and order entry services to the 3 business segments and digital channels
  • Conduct bi-annual and annual performance reviews
  • Carry out Technical Sales activities as prescribed in the Job Description – Technical Sales Associate.
