The Scored Railcar Disc or SRC is designed as an alternative to railcar discs containing PTFE seals.  The scored technology in the SRC allows for a solid metal disc that eliminates the possibility of leaks caused by the PTFE in composite discs.  The SRC is designed to fit standard threaded or bolted railraod tank car safety vents.

  • Solid Metal Design - Inconel or Stainless Steel disc with Stainless Steel ring
  • Does not utilize PTFE
  • Fits standard threaded or bolted railroad tank car safety vent
  • Meets AAR requirements
  • Non-fragmenting
  • Failsafe Design - designed to break at or below 165 psig if installed upside down
