Develops and leads new capital projects to completion including: basic financial analysis, process development, approval, implementation, training and debugging. Supports new product launches including the tracking of tooling, quality requirements, materials timing, and new work procedures.
Essential Duties:
Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine necessary equipment, tooling or capital required to implement a new product.
Locates and analyzes systems, such as instruments, presses, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, automation, hydraulic, or welding systems required for improvement of our processes.
Upon request, plans and directs manufacturing personnel in fabrication of automation or new apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for integration of such systems.
Researches and develops new processes to improve cost and effectiveness of existing products.
Analyzes and resolves tooling issues that are involved in new or existing products.
Supports Kaizen events through the use of tools such as process mapping, time study development, and bottleneck analysis.
May evaluate existing operations to define opportunities for improvement throughout the facility.
Qualification Requirements:
B. S. Degree or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
